Beyonce was born in Houston, TX on September 4, 1981. She is a former member of the R&B girl group Destiny’s Child and a widely successful solo artist. She has won a total of 28 Grammy Awards, more than any other woman, for songs such as “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It),” “Drunk in Love” and “Crazy in Love.” She is also an actress and starred in the popular film Dreamgirls.
