Bessy Gatto’s tendency to introversion inclines her to live inside herself, amid her inner world. She is apt to listen to her subjectivity, her intuition, and her secret opinions rather than reason and logic.

While Bessy Gatto is attracted to interpersonal activities, her significant need for inner security may stand in the way of her overtures to others. Since she is highly receptive to other people’s inner natures, she seeks tight bonds with others. She unconsciously needs their psychological support in her quest for herself. Were she to evaluate her psychological development, she would place more value upon human warmth, intimacy, and the need to share than on intellectual understanding or personal freedom of expression.

Bessy Gatto is deeply attached to her family. She remembers her childhood fondly and is interested in solving the mysteries of life. Heritage, tradition, and the origins of her family and ancestry might become hobbies or even a profession. She is very conscious of the legacy she has received from her forebears and is eager to enrich it.

Bessy Gatto lives in a world in constant contact with her dreams and subconscious. She cannot live without love, and, like water which flows into and takes on the shape of the vessel which contains it, she is always ready to submerge herself in another person. Stirred by forces she does not control, she may be aroused by passions which are impervious to the restraints of reason and logic. She is an emotive creature in harmony with the flow of her feelings, impulses, and urges.

Bessy Gatto struggled to get into natural harmony with the physical world and the limitations and restraints it placed upon her. Idealistic, she tended to be somewhat disconnected from practical considerations, and barely paid any attention to material things like food, money, her surroundings, and so on. She tended to be footloose and fancy-free, oblivious to the necessities of survival in the physical world, until her lack of material resources – an issue to which she usually granted no importance – became an emergency. This feeling of being out of touch with material things and the physical dimension of reality may sometimes lead her to see herself as unfit for this world. She may think she cannot attach herself to anything that would sustain her efforts at self-expression. However, her impractical nature offered many positive aspects. She saw life’s possibilities as limitless. She was apt to develop her imagination or pursue a spiritual quest in order to transcend the material world.
