Consciousness and The Ideal of Self:
Robert Pattinson is searching for stability. He wants to find a firm, unchanging structure for his life. But his efforts to achieve this ideal are often vain, because unconsciously, he is also inhabited by the opposite desire. Every time he reaches what he believes to be a good balance, he realizes he wants something entirely different. He should become aware that the concepts of stability and balance are difficult to apply to life. By definition, life is movement, change, and perpetual instability.
Robert Pattinson has a paternal complex and, as a result, some trouble finding his identity. Perhaps his father or a father figure was absent physically or emotionally during his childhood, which deprived him of the patterns or models which are usually helpful in structuring a personality. Because he might have lacked a particular sense of security which could be provided by a paternal presence, as well as the examples of behavior to follow in confronting the difficulties inherent in every life, he was forced to protect himself against negative influences and find his own system in order to grow and feel secure.
Although this system was quite useful to him as a child, it has now settled in to such a degree that it interferes with his evolution. Psychological defense mechanisms and crutches which were once useful now encumber his mind or inhibit his developmental efforts. As a result, in certain situations, it is difficult for him to assert himself, and he tends to remain an awkward or passive observer. Because his authoritarian urges are mainly directed at himself rather than others, he sometimes feels guilty about his behavior. He judges himself severely, and sometimes punishes himself by setting difficult tasks for himself. Gradually, he should build up a strong inner discipline and acquire the strength to face the problems of existence in a detached and mature way.
Robert Pattinson has great strength of character. His courage and endurance enable him to accomplish even extremely arduous tasks. Although he sometimes behaves impulsively, he generally knows how to plan out an effective strategy, and, as a result, he reaches his goals without meeting any major obstacles. His forcefulness gives him certain leadership skills, which he may implement to creative and constructive ends.
Robert Pattinson is an ardent free thinker and individualist who is convinced that his most precious basic values are freedom and independence. He has thrown off what he perceives as the burden of the convention and customs of his social class and adopted an innovative lifestyle. His passionate convictions, bordering on proselytism, sometimes trouble his relationships, as he may be an uncompromising partner. He would do well to learn to recognize his own limitations and accept the responsibilities he has to other people, or he is liable to find himself continually embroiled in conflicting relationships.
The roots of his somewhat extreme behavior probably lie in his relationship with his father or his teachers in childhood and adolescence. For one reason or another, he may have rejected the paternal image or refused to identify with his father, in the same way as he now refuses to adopt any values related to convention, tradition, or widespread usage. In every important life decision he makes as an adult, he is forced to rely on himself to elaborate the appropriate behavior, and the limits he must impose on his desires in relation to reality and the law.
Adaptation and Sensitivity:
Mild and sensitive, Robert Pattinson is deeply human. He is sociable and sincerely devoted to others. His mother or a mother-figure had a strong influence on his psyche, and his childhood was an important time in his life. He still identifies with vivid childhood memories; they are the basis for his reveries, for his extreme sensitivity, and for habits which he may be slow to break. However, he will thrive in the shelter of a family setting, soothed by the presence of a spouse and children. He is fond of security and routine; being somewhat impressionable and anxious, he may have trouble adjusting to situations which are unfamiliar.
Robert Pattinson has a sensitive personality. He may jump to conclusions, which could disrupt relationships, as well as career plans. He is subject to cyclical energy flows and go from periods of feverish activity to periods of withdrawal and introspection. The aggressive element in his behavior may be explained by emotional problems he may have experienced in infancy: his mother, or a mother figure, may have had an energetic and volatile personality.
Optimistic and happy to be alive, Robert Pattinson is a cheerful, expansive, pleasant associate to have. He is extremely generous (sometimes to a fault!) and gives of himself and his belongings unstintingly. This positive psychological outlook is the result of a happy childhood and especially an extremely beneficial maternal influence in infancy. He is quite likely to be a professional success; his vision of the world is perfectly adapted to prevailing opinion, and his urges and desires for personal expansion usually elicit a positive reaction from society. By old age, his good reputation and prominence may have earned him fame.
Love and Sensuality:
Robert Pattinson enjoys captivating people with the elegance and ease of his expression. He is a witty and engaging flirt, an avid player of the game of love. As a result, the history of his affections is liable to be episodic, a long series of chapters about conquests or fleeting love affairs. He may carry on some love relationships by writing letters.
Robert Pattinson’s birth chart indicates an emotional function which is usually expressed carefully and reasonably. Distrustful of his emotional urges and somewhat wary of his feelings, he tries to rid himself of all partiality and try to get some perspective and distance before making an emotional commitment.
Robert Pattinson is an expert at pleasing the people he loves and making them happy. A profound lover or artist, he knows how to touch another person’s inner world and devote himself entirely to them. Because he is sensual, he enjoys creature comforts and is likely to live in a beautiful home, probably in the country. He’ll enjoy entertaining. Nature invigorates him, and he thrives on family life.
Because Robert Pattinson is somewhat wary of his feelings, he tends to subject his emotions to the scrutiny and censorship of his intellect. Faced with an opportunity for commitment, he may withdraw or flee. A person younger than himself, and perhaps more carefree and whimsical, might be able to draw him out of his shell. But they should not expect him to offer what he cannot give.
Robert Pattinson has the fiery, importunate nature of a fervent lover. Indeed, affairs of the heart are one of his main purposes in life. His personal charm and magnetism are compellingly seductive; unfortunately, his attempts at conquest do not always lead to the fulfillment and satisfaction of his desires. Due to his impulsiveness and impatience to initiate new encounters, his approach to those he is attracted to may sometimes lack tact and delicacy. As a result of the foregoing, it may be somewhat difficult for him to maintain stable and harmonious relationships. Indeed, his emotional behavior is subject to a conflict between his quest for love and his need to satisfy his lust. His outpourings of affection and his need to be loved in return sometimes create complicated situations in which lust may be confused with love, or love may exist without lust, and he may feel unrequited or unfulfilled. This inner contradiction is a sign of his tendency to derive pleasure from suffering – either his own or that of his partner. The relationship thus becomes the setting for a sort of power struggle, weakening it as a source of psychological equilibrium. Nevertheless, he could sublimate this difficulty through artistic expression.
Robert Pattinson may be characterized by strong sensual and affectionate urges which drive him to seek pleasure. His need for romantic fulfillment may compel him to marry, because he also seeks the legal and social legitimacy the institution of marriage confers on an emotional bond. Indeed, the household is liable to be prosperous and even opulent, as if this offered further evidence that he had indeed achieved success. However, privately, he might be less committed to certain obligations and duties. At worst, he might deny the commitments that his optimism and expansiveness made him rush into too soon. If this were to be the case, the outward image of the couple’s success (wealth and comfort, etc.) would only be a façade which compensated for its emotional impoverishment and failure. Sooner or later, this hypocrisy might provoke a full-blown conflict. A second possibility is that a psychic incompatibility may gradually take root, pitting his romantic nature against the prerogatives of his career.
Robert Pattinson has an ardent and amorous character, and his relationships are enlivened by intensity and passion. A charmer perpetually engaged in a quest for the ideal love, he is often more in love with the idea of love than with a partner. As a result, his love life may be subject to some instability. He is generally attracted to original people who defy norms, standards, and classifications, and expects them to amaze and fascinate him. His greatest contradictions surface when an intimate relationship is established. Although he merges his ego entirely into the couple, he is likely to demand a total autonomy and liberty which are inimical to intimacy. If his partner charms and captivates him long enough, there is some possibility that they will form a more solid bond with him; otherwise, he is likely to yield to his need for novelty and fall under the spell of an entirely different person who exerts a new kind of charm for him. Midlife may be a turning point for him from this point of view. His contradictory attitude may in some ways hide a compulsion to reject and deny the bonds of dependency inherent to a love relationship. His behavior enables him to remain aloof, to commit himself only halfway without consciously admitting it to himself, and to avoid feeling guilty if and when he loses interest. An insatiable appetite for novelty and exaltation sometimes keeps him from forming stable relationships.
Indeed, he is tormented by the struggle between his undeniable need for affection and an equally imperious desire for personal progress and emancipation. As a result of this inner turmoil, his romantic aspirations are usually sabotaged sooner or later by his conviction that his partner has become an obstacle to his individual progress. Because he thinks of love as a restraint, he may even eventually consciously refuse any emotional approach to love interests. As an ascetic, he will try to deflect the love function from its natural target and use the energy and bliss it generates for other purposes, the process psychologists call sublimation. However, he is also likely to meet “the one” who inspires him to initiate a change in his behavior.
Mental and Intellect:
Robert Pattinson is somewhat plodding but realistic and pragmatic. Because he is chiefly preoccupied with the practical aspects of things, he is especially apt to develop more efficient production concepts. Although his good judgment and common sense provide him with an excellent ability to handle the tangible world (he is certainly clever, and can quickly assess the tangible value of things), his thought processes might be relatively impervious to abstract concepts and spiritual awakenings.
