Aquarian Idea Man
Is this our era’s poster child for Aquarius?
MIT-trained, super-inventor Ray Kurzweil could be the poster child for Aquarius. In his 20s he designed the first machine for reading books to the blind (Stevie Wonder was a customer). Now Google’s director of engineering is building smart robots. He’s predicted that in 15 years computers will possess more raw intelligence than humans. And he’s made an even more audacious prediction—that we’ll also cheat death itself. He seems well on his way, having joined a cryonics company with the intent of extending his life with future technologies. Through his own lifestyle changes, he reversed his type 2 diabetes. This Aquarian never stops dreaming, “Being an entrepreneur, you have to be optimistic, because if you knew all the obstacles you would face, you would never start anything.”
