Taurus, look to your strengths to find love…
Sweet Taurus, if you’re seeking that special partner, know that you already have what it takes to find love!
Patient: You aren’t going to fall for the first hottie who comes along. You don’t mind waiting for the right person.
Logical: You can tell when the numbers don’t add up.
Determined: You have your priorities, and thanks to your fixed nature you won’t stop until they’re met.
Honest: When others meet you, they can rest assured that what they see is what they get. You expect the same in a potential partner.
Familiarity breeds commitment for Taurus…
Unlike Gemini, who wants to be everywhere and doing everything at once, daily rituals make Taurus feel comfortable. And unlike Sagittarius or Aquarius, who thrive on change, Taurus loves the familiar. The Bull also values the security of a long-term bond. You can tie the knot with Taurus by appealing to their practical side (some of the benefits of marriage include taxes and shared living costs). They like a home that’s comfortable and stylish (not necessarily costly). Show your love and pride in your Taurus partner every day and don’t go to bed angry and you can live happily ever after!
20 minutes can help!
The neck is your sign’s part of the body. Strength training for 20 minutes once or twice a week can reduce chronic neck pain. Shrugs, reverse flies, and lateral and front raises will strengthen the neck and shoulder muscles. At work, craning your neck toward the keyboard or cradling the phone against your shoulder while typing can strain cervical vertebrae. Looking down at smart phones and tablets for hours can etch wrinkles into your neck. Eew! Hold the phone higher and walk around while you chat. To stave off wrinkles, apply a collagen-boosting cream to delicate skin.
Stretching helps your posture Taurus…
Unless you took ballet lessons, your posture may be less than perfect. If you carry your head too far forward, you could be putting too much strain on neck and shoulder muscles, causing chronic aches and pains. Stretching can help.
Sit with feet flat on floor, hands on thighs.
Drop chin and relax the back of your neck. Hold for 30 seconds.
Return to starting position and repeat twice.
To stretch the neck, stand with feet hip width apart, shoulders relaxed, arms by your sides.
Gently tilt head to one side, feel the stretch in the other side of your neck. Hold for 10 to 15 seconds.
Switch sides.
Repeat twice on each side.
Brighten-up your face with these oils…
It’s counterintuitive, but facial oils are cleaning up right now. Not only are their nongreasy formulas better than lotions at holding in moisture but they also nourish skin with antioxidants and vitamins. All that and they’re antiseptic and firming, too! What’s not to love? Be good to your face and clean it with papaya seed or broccoli seed oil, rich in vitamin E to smooth and protect your face and neck. And new body oils have the added benefit of mouthwatering scents. Try Estee Lauder’s sultry Bronze Goddess Shimmering Body Oil, with sandalwood, amber, and vanilla.
Want heaven on earth? Ask a Bull how!
One word describes the Taurus home: comfortable! You’re seriously attached to your abode, it makes you feel contented, safe, and peaceful. That’s because it’s so beautifully decorated! But there are no untouchable objects here, just cushy rugs, comfortable couches, perhaps a fireplace to lounge beside, aromatic candles, the softest cotton sheets, and cloud-soft towels. It’s like a party for your senses—touch, smell, sight, sound, and taste! You share Cancer’s love of collecting, but beware that collecting doesn’t turn to clutter. Are your belongings an anchor that helps you feel secure or a burden that’s weighing you down?
Did you know this about yourself?
Whoever heard of an indoor bull? The same is true for Bulls! You’re such a reliable worker that you probably forget to look up, to say nothing of get up, but not doing so could be hazardous to your health.
Studies show that women aren’t spending enough time in Mother Nature. Just a few hours a week can lower risk for heart disease and breast cancer. Walk in the woods, have a picnic, or if you’re more ambitious, play tennis or volleyball, swim or kayak, or run in the hills. Trail running makes you a more efficient runner, plus it’s way more scenic and interesting than the treadmill!
…for basically everything…
Coconut oil isn’t just for suntan lotion anymore. Like so many other foods, it has undergone an image makeover. Now it’s the new “miracle” oil that’s good for every part of your body from hair to toes. Practitioners of Ayurvedic medicine have known of its properties for centuries, and now you do, too!
Skin Moisturizer: True believers say it makes their skin more radiant.
Oral Health: Swishing a tablespoon of oil for 20 minutes may whiten teeth and improve bad breath.
Smoothie Enhancer: Said to increase good (HDL) cholesterol and provide other health benefits.
Butter Substitute or Popcorn Oil: And it doesn’t taste like coconut.
Heal Minor Skin Irritations: Its antimicrobial properties make it good for dermatitis.
Improve Hair: Strengthens and adds shine to dry hair.
Don’t sink on your chair…
If you, like many Bulls, spend your workday hunched over a desk, you’re in danger of suffering more than just a midafternoon slump. Brain fog sets in, and it gets harder to concentrate. And when you sit for a long time the disks in your spine lose their healthy sponginess, and supporting tendons and ligament harden. That’s when you get a stiff back!
Good thing there’s a simple solution—just get up and move! The motion helps the soft disks in your spine expand, contract, and soak up fresh blood and nutrients like little sponges. And it immediately boosts your thinking skills, too, which will make your afternoon more productive. Whether you go for a workout or walk, give your brain and spine a boost!
Glam-up your Taurus style…
Tasteful and image-conscious, your style is comfortable and chic, not edgy or flashy. You may avoid change as a general rule, preferring to stick to your go-to closet staples. But changing up your look now and then can be a good thing. If you lean toward earthy tones, try a shot of bold color in shoes, tie, or scarf. If you usually wear soft prints of violet, yellow, or pink, try adding an accessory in a deeper hue of plum, gold, or fuchsia. Spark up demure outfits with a blast of primary color (in luxe materials) and get out of your rag rut!
